Light moments Part I

Oh yes yes, did i mention that we've chosen the cloth for the aisle walkers? Namely my cousin mel, marietta, karena n fraemone. Here's a sample of the 2 different colours i picked. They're pretty excited cos now they get to design their own dresses too after accompanying me for my gown designing sessions. Thanks for your lovely advise! And Wen ching too... who helped out ever so patiently! =)

Progess Update 1

1) We're going to buy our flat (HDB 1st appointment) in Mid-April. It will be in Simei. We'll likely get our keys in Mid May 2007.

2) We've settled on our dinner location. It will be at Plaza Hotel (along beach road). http://beach.singapore.parkroyalhotels.com/

3) We've decided to use Amanda Lee as our bridal boutique. Fiona's gowns have been designed. Mine is pending but it should take a jiffy :) http://www.amandaleeweddings.com/

4) We've decided to use Kelvin as our photographer. Check out his works at http://www.lightedpixels.com/

5) We'll be having our solemnisation at our church in Katong at about 2pm (to cater to folks who work on Saturdays). The food will be good, so do come with empty stomachs! Please check it out at http://www.cscc.org.sg/cornerstone/contactus/contactus.htm

Hardpressed but not crushed

Wheelpower

Met kelly for dinner today after not seeing each other for a week, that's how crazy it gets sometimes at work, so we try as far as possible, to grab a meal tog before heading home to rest. He's been physically down this week with a bad tummy, throat and all, yet making every effort go to work nonetheless, his discipline and commitment nv fails to amaze me. Pray that he'll be completely healed cos he really dislikes downtime.

Today at dinner, we talked about having meaning to work. Something prompted by his business lunch meeting when a fund manager asked him and others, what they were working for. It's true, it's pure drudgery to drag ourselves to work everyday , reading meaningless financial statements if we don't have a vision of where we're heading towards. My first thought was , we are to be diligent with our hands, and we work to pay for the basic necessities, tt's why i work. But on second thoughts, there has to be more than tt! kelly told the story of Anthony Robbins, and how he just wanted to bless a family anonymously, the same way he was blessed, which is why he worked and saved for an entire year.

Could it be that our labour can accomplish more than what we have allowed ourselves to think possible? What's your vision?

Not feeling too good...

Well, its time for my body to say "stop and rest" again. I haven't been feeling well since 15th March and have been trying to get more rest... but suprise suprise... nobody's giving it to me but the doctor :) so I got half day MC yesterday... and I'm back again today.

Came to know that he's a director in Linking Hands, a christian organisation that provides medical aid to the less privileged. He's got a clinic at geylang and another one at little india. All free services. He also gives missionaries all and any medicine they want for free or $5.

When I spoke to him, he's so clear on his calling in life.

Are you?

trying to recover...

Surprise!

Wow! was pleasantly surprise when dear Kelly sent out an email tt we've a blogspot to track our wedding preps, yippie, we're officially bloggers! This should be pretty fun, narrating our little journey as we prepare for the big day of our lives.
I rem when we first got together in Oct 2005, God gave me Psalm 125 :1-2, that is "Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, From this time forward and forever." And it's so divine, cos the the next morning after the proposal (ring n flowers enclosed), we were ON Mount Zion, it was as if it's a confirmation , and how God saw through time where we'd be on 13 Dec 2006 and confirms His presence with us through this journey. He's simply amazing, as is dear ole Kelly! tee hee
